Maxakali or The Dance of a Lifetime

In the heart of colonial Brazil, Miguel, a ruthless Portuguese explorer, returns from a brutal expedition to the Amazon, adorned with stolen native gems. His domestic life with Maria is marked by power abuse and oppression. Kayapo, a native man, stumbles upon Miguel's mansion, discovering the plundered treasures of his tribe. In a twist of fate, Maria fears Kayapo, but an unexpected connection unfolds as they share a hallucinogenic trip induced by Yakoana powder. 

Miguel, returning from his expedition, clashes with Kayapo in a fierce battle that transitions from the urban setting to the jungle. Kayapo gains the upper hand, administering a dose of Yakoana powder to Miguel, triggering hallucinations of his past atrocities that will eventually drain him to collapse.
